Hong Kong Loosens Distancing Rules, Get 4 People

Group meetings, or get-together activities, in public places will be limited to a maximum of 4 people, lessened from the previous 2 people. The requirements for wearing masks in public places and public transportation still apply.

Prof. Sophia also explained that the Hong Kong Government has adopted a phased approach in using a "press and lift" strategy in controlling the Covid-19 outbreak. He said, the relaxation of social distancing rules should be done gradually after considering various aspects.

“We don't just consider the epidemic situation. We also consider the need for activities that are important for daily life, and also the risk of infection which can be substantially reduced by increasing disease prevention and control measures, "he said.
