8 Advice by Luqman for his Children We Should Follow

HONG KONG - Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK), Tuesday (26/11/2019) night, held a routine online study for volunteers or volunteers. The study, which started at 22.00 through a telephone call conference, was also attended by participants in the Al-Qur'an Clinic class and Package B and Package C DD University class students.

The online study was provided by the General Manager of DDHK, Ustadz Imam Baihaqi, who conveyed the advice of an alim named Luqman to his son, which is told in the Koran, the letter Luqman, verses 12-19. "The obligation to educate children is not only the responsibility of the mother. Father also took part, "he said.

There are 8 pieces of advice that Luqman taught to his children, which we parents must imitate as provisions in educating children. First, be a grateful servant. Because, in essence goodness is grateful for yourself, not for Allah Ta'ala.

"If we are kufr (not grateful), in fact Allah is Most Rich, Most Praiseworthy," said Ustadz Imam, conveying the wisdom contained in the Luqman letter.

Second, teach your children not to associate partners with God. Third, be devoted to your parents. "Doing good and pleasing parents is very important because the pleasure of parents is also the pleasure of Allah," said Ustadz Imam.

Fourth, fulfill all orders of parents, while on the path of kindness. But if they are ordered to associate themselves with Allah, they must be rejected in a way that is polite and does not hurt their hearts.

Fifth, remind the child that all the deeds, even if they weigh a mustard seed, Allah will reward them. Whether it's good deeds or bad deeds.

Sixth, educate children to offer prayers. "Since children are 7 years old, they have to start to force them, so that they are trained and accustomed to carrying out prayer obligations," said Ustadz Imam.

Seventh, teach your children not to be arrogant and arrogant. Because, Allah does not like people who are proud and always proud.

"Eighth, educate children not to be stylish in walking and not to raise their voice. Because as bad as sound is the voice of a donkey, "he said. [Praise]
