DDHK.ORG - The advice of the Prophet Muhammad to Ali Bin Abi Talib as contained in the book Washiyatul Mustafa:
لُ مِنْ لِسَبْعِ الٍ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ الْإِمَامِ الَسَةِ الْعُلَمَاءِ ادَةِ الْمَرِيْضِ الْجَنَازَةِ الْمَاءِ الصُّلْحِ الْإِثْنَيْنِ احْرِصْ الْجَ لْحِ
Here are the details:
First, pray five times with the imam.
- Prayer is the pillar of religion, and the deeds that will be judged first.
- There is an extraordinary virtue of congregational prayer.
- لَاةُ الْجَمَا لُ لَاةِ الْفَذِّ عِسْرِيْنَ دَرَجَةً
- The congregation has the meaning of togetherness, friendship, and unity.
Second, gathered with the clergy.
- Ulama are authoritative figures who master religion and want to practice their knowledge, as well as people who fear God.
- We know the core teachings of Islam, namely the Qur'an and Hadith through the scholars.
- The importance of an authoritative teacher/supervisor in worship. Like a doctor as a health consultant.
- The Prophet warned about the dangers of being away from the scholars.
Third, visit the sick.
- As fellow social beings to be able to establish brotherhood, care, and support each other.
- Psychologically, when sick people are visited they will be happy and make the spirit to heal (by praying, bringing happy news, etc.).
- When sick as a Muslim woman is ordered to be patient, because there is a very extraordinary virtue.
Allah SWT assigned 4 angels to the sick:
- The first angel plucked the taste on his tongue, so that it became bland to taste the food.
- The second angel removed the light from his face, so that it became pale and not fresh.
- The third angel withdraws his strength, the body goes limp, etc.
- The fourth angel removes his sin, so that when he receives his illness, his sin will fall.
Fourth, deliver the corpse.
- We are told to respect the servant who will meet his god.
- Can help reduce the sadness of the family left behind with takziyah.
Fifth, give water.
- Just giving water is a tremendous reward, let alone more than that.
- Islam teaches social worship, with care.
- السَّخِيُّ اللَّهِ الْجَنَّةِ النَّاسِ
Sixth, reconcile the warring.
- When there are friends, family, or relatives who are in conflict, we must not become a stove, but must be a silencer so that it becomes cool.
- انَ اللَّهِ الْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ، لْيَقُلْ ا لِيَصْمُتْ
- Guard our tongue. Often disputes start from a lack of ability to maintain oral hygiene so that there are those who are offended, and make noise with each other.
Seventh, respect neighbors and orphans.
- انَ اللهِ الْيَوْمِ اْلآخِرِ لْيُكْرِمْ ارَهُ. Because of the importance of respect for neighbors, the editorial of the hadith is juxtaposed with faith and the last day.
- The Prophet told the people when cooking vegetables to increase the gravy. Nothing but the neighbors to enjoy.
