Held the First Meeting, Sewing Class Class 45 DDHK Still Open for Registration

DDHK.ORG - Sewing Class Class 45 Migrant Institute learning activities Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) has begun. On Sunday, July 4, 2021, 14 participants had their first meeting in the study room located on Haven Street, Causeway Bay.

Naning, Coordinator of DDHK's Sewing Class, explained that this class is only available on Sundays or Sundays. The learning process is done face-to-face.

“For classes every week, 12 meetings, each meeting is 2 hours. While the 2-week class, 8 meetings, each meeting is 3 hours,” said Naning.

In this Sewing Class, each participant will be taught how to sew from scratch or from not being able to sew at all. “We will teach them to make their own clothes. Starting from the steps to make patterns, how to cut fabric, how to sew, to being taught how to use the sewing machine," said Naning.

"After studying, God willing, they can make robes (children and adults), make men's clothes (pants, hem, suits), they can also make various kinds of hijabs and kebayas," he said.

Learning to sew in this class costs HK$700 per package, only one time. The teachers are senior migrant workers who have more than XNUMX years of experience teaching sewing techniques. Among them, Naning himself, Mujiati, and Riyan.

Sewing Class Class 44 has 25 participants. Compared to the previous batch, fewer people signed up for Batch 45.

"Maybe because this period the registration time is faster and also during the Covid-19 pandemic," said Naning.

He said the DDHK Sewing Class Class 45 is still open for registration. “For Migrant Friends in Hong Kong who want to join, they can still register. Please contact me at 98555889," he said. [DDHKNews]
