Often we hear the term revelation. Actually what is meant by the revelation. Revelation according to language means cue, writings, messages or letters, and every word conveyed vaguely and secretly.
Meanwhile, according to the term, is the notification of Allah Subhanahu wata'ala to His Prophets and Messengers about a case or law of something that is vague and hidden from humans.
From the explanation above we can conclude that revelation comes from Allah and is only given to His Prophets and Messengers. So that ordinary people may not get revelation.
When Allah gives a child to His servant, then it is a favor and a gift, but it can also be a slander or a trial, it can even become an enemy.
The position of children for their parents varies, including:
1. Conditioning heart.
Among the characteristics of 'ibadurrahman (servants of the Most Gracious) is always chanting:
رَبَّنا هَبْ لَنا مِنْ أَزْواجِنا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنا لِلْمُتَّقِانَ مِا
"O our Lord, grant us our wives and our offspring as gladdens (our) hearts, and make us priests for the pious." {QS Al-Furqan: 74}
2. Jewelry of the world's life.
Allah Subhanahu wata'ala says:
الْمَالُ وَالْبَنُونَ زِينَةُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ
"Wealth and children are the adornments of worldly life, but deeds that are everlasting and pious are better rewarded by your Lord and better as hope." {QS Al-Kahf: 46}
3. Children can be enemies to their parents. The point is that he can be a hindrance to his parents in walking the path to Allah Subhanahu wata'ala.
يا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْواجِكُمْ وَأَوْلادِكُمْ عَدُوًّا لَكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ وَإِنْ تَعْفُوا وَتَصْفَحُوا وَتَغْفِرُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ
“O you believers, indeed among your wives and your children there are those who are enemies to you, so beware of them and if you forgive and do not scold and forgive (them), then surely Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful. ” {QS At-Taghabun: 14}
4. Slander or test.
It means that children are a mandate that must be maintained and cared for as well as possible by their parents. If he fulfills it, then the child will be the way to Heaven. But if he is wasted, then the child can drag his parents to hell. Na'udzu biLlah.
Allah Subhanahu wata'ala says:
Amen
"Surely your wealth and your children are only a trial (for you), and with Allah is a great reward." {QS At-Taghabun: 15}
From the explanation above, the child is not a revelation for his parents, but is a gift, a comforter, or a test, even an enemy.
