Rizki Berkah and Istidraj

Meaning Rizki

Rizki is in the form of material, as Allah says in QS Al-Baqarah verse 233:

"Mothers should breastfeed their children for two full years, that is, for those who want to complete breastfeeding. And it is the father's duty to feed and clothe the mothers in a ma'ruf way. Someone not burdened but according to ability levels. A mother should not suffer misery because of her child and a father because of her child, and an inheritor has such an obligation. If both of them want to wean (before two years) with their willingness and deliberation, then there is no sin on both of them. And if you want your child to be fed by someone else, then there is no sin for you if you pay accordingly. Fear you to Allah and know that Allah is All-Seeing what you are doing. "

Also, some are in the form of nonmaterials, as Allah says in QS Hud verse 6:

"And there is not a reptile on earth, but Allah is the one who provides sustenance, and He knows where the animal lives and the place where it is stored. Everything is written in a real book (Lauh mahfuzh). "

Rizki Istiraj

However, we must be careful with the fortune we get. Could it be, that is fortune istidraj.

The meaning of rizki istidraj:

  1. Allah SWT grants all the wishes of His servants all the time to make them negligent so that they become immoral and will later be tormented.
  2. Allah Grants all the wishes of His servants to increase heresy and immorality which will add to the calculation of torment in the hereafter.

Allah says in QS 7: 94-96,

"And We did not send a prophet to any country, (then the inhabitants denied that prophet), but We impose on the inhabitants the hardship and suffering so that they (submit to) humble themselves."

"Then We replace that suffering with pleasure (so that their offspring and property) increase in number, then they say," Indeed, our ancestors have felt pain and pleasure, "so We inflict torment on them suddenly without them knowing it."

"And if the inhabitants of the land have faith and fear, surely We will bestow upon them the blessings of heaven and earth, but they turn out to be denies (Our verses), so We torture them according to what they have done."

Allah also said in QS 7: 182-183,

"And those who deny Our verses, We will let them gradually (toward destruction), in a way that they do not know."

"And I will give grace to them. Indeed, My plan is very firm. "

The meaning of blessing is:

  1. Increasing the effect of kindness.
  2. Fulfillment of needs and benchmarks are not wants.

The form of blessings in the family:

  1. Loved by the couple is the blessing Rizki. "In fact I really have been awarded the love of Khadija." (HR. Muslim)
  2. Being able to pray jimak and get the pleasure and pregnancy of a sholih child is a blessing. "If one of you wants to go to his wife (ask for intercourse), you should say; BISMILLAH, ALLAHUMMA JANNIBNAS SYAITHAANA WAJANNIBIS SYAITHAANA MAA RAZAQTANAA (By chanting the name of Allah, O Allah, keep us away from Satan and keep demons away from anything (children) that You will bless us), if between them are destined to get children from the results of intercourse, then the child will not be harmed by the devil forever. " (Reported by Muslim)
  3. The income of a husband or wife from the lawful way is a blessing rizki. "The Messenger of Allah -peace and prayer of Allah be upon him- said:" O people, fear Allah and seek the good in seeking the world. Indeed, a soul will not die until its rizkin is fulfilled even though it is halting. Fear Allah, look for the good in seeking the world, take the lawful and leave the haram. " (Narrated by Ibn Majah)
  4. Being able to accept a partner for who they are is a blessing. “It is prohibited for a man who proposes on the proposal of his brother, sells on the sale of his brother, and a woman must not ask that her brother (in faith) be divorced and her family is divorced, so that she can marry her husband, and let her only receive rizki (husband). which Allah gave him. (HR. Ahmad)
  5. The culture of giving gifts in the family is a blessing. "Whoever is given something without asking first be accepted, it is rizki that Allah gave him." (HR. Ahmad)

The Door of Blessing

There are several things that can be the door to the presence of blessings. That is:

First, friendship. In addition to increasing rizki, friendship also prolongs life.

Rasulullah ﷺ said, "Whoever wants to expand his rezkinya, or wants to extend his age, then let him continue the friendship." (Narrated by Muslim: 4638)

Second, ablution.

"Salman Al Farisi said, I read in the Torah: The blessing of food is ablution afterwards. Then I mentioned it to Rasulullah ﷺ and I told him what I had read. He also said, "The blessing of food is by doing ablution before and after." (HR. Ahmad: 22616)

And, we should know that rizki depends on our speech. As Allah says in QS 51: 22-23,

"And in the sky there are (the causes of) your rizk and what was promised to you."

"So, by the Lord of heaven and earth, really, what was promised will happen as you say."

"And Allah will not delay (death) a person when the time of his death has come. And Allah is careful what you do. "

QS 36:12,
