DDHK.ORG - The decision on the ethics trial held by the Police Code of Ethics Commission stated that Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was given a dishonorable dismissal from the Indonesian National Police (Polri) after being involved in the premeditated murder of Brigadier J. "The dismissal was not respectful of [Ferdy Sambo] as a member of the National Police," said Head of the Intelligence and Security Agency (Kabaintelkam) Komjen Ahmad Dofiri who chaired the ethics session, Friday (26/8/2022).
In the trial, the Code of Ethics Commission presented 15 witnesses. None of the witnesses' testimonies were denied by Sambo. Starting from engineering cases, eliminating evidence, to blocking the investigation process or obstruction of justice.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said that all allegations of Sambo's ethical violations were proven true because of this testimony. "The violator of Inspector General FS (Ferdy Sambo) also did not reject what was conveyed by the witnesses' testimonies," said Dedi at a press conference on the same day.
Sambo apologized after the verdict was handed down. However, he plans to appeal the decision.
"We admit the actions we have done to the police institution. However, please ask for permission in accordance with article 29 PP 7 2022, allow us to appeal. Whatever the decision of the appeal, we are ready to implement it," said Sambo.
Previously, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo was involved in the murder of Brigadier Nopriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier J. The police named Sambo a suspect for planning the murder of Brigadier J.
