DDHK.ORG - The rain that has continued to flush since Sunday (25/10/2020) has caused severe flooding in three districts in Central Java (Central Java). Namely, Banyumas, Cilacap, and Kebumen. Central Java Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted, thousands of residents were affected in the three flood locations.
The water level varies, from 30 centimeters to 1,6 meters at certain points, such as Mujur Lor Village and Gengtasari Village in Cilacap, as well as Alian, Puring, and Sido Mulyo Districts in Kebumen. In the Banyumas area, until Friday (30/10/2020) morning, a number of residents were still taking refuge in three refugee posts in MI Sida Mulya Village, MI Fathul Ulum, and Baitun Ni'mah Mosque in Sirau Village, Kemranjen District.
"God willing, the team will be at the location until the flood emergency conditions in the three districts are completed," said Satria Nova, Head of Dompet Dhuafa Central Java.
Satria's statement referred to the three Mobile Medical Posts provided by the Free Health Service Dompet Dhuafa Central Java at the location of the flood since Monday (26/10/2020) night. Apart from providing services at the Refugee Post, the medical team led by Ns and Aan Julianto, S.Kep also visited residents who were staying at their homes.
Itching, dizziness, and sleeplessness were generally complained by residents affected by flooding in three locations. Health volunteer support from the Corps Dompet Dhuafa Volunteers and the Faculty of Medicine at Jenderal Soedirman University have been very helpful in providing health services for flood survivors.
More than 30 medical volunteers are involved in the LKC Mobile Medical Post Dompet Dhuafa in three districts hit by floods. In response to this flood, Dompet Dhuafa also set up public kitchens, Warm Post, and clean water distribution at a number of flood points.
