Jokowi Discusses Efforts to Stop Israeli Aggression with Turkey, Afghanistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei

DDHK.ORG - President Joko Widodo admitted that he had spoken with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussing the situation in Palestine. Regarding the same matter, Jokowi also admitted to having spoken with several leaders of friendly countries, including Yang Dipertuan Agong or the King of Malaysia, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah; The Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong; President of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani; and the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

"In the last few days, I spoke with the President of Turkey, Yang Dipertuan Agong Malaysia, the PM of Singapore, the President of Afghanistan, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, and the PM of Malaysia," Jokowi said via his Twitter account, Saturday (15/5/2021).

During the talks, said Jokowi, the leaders spoke about global developments, including the follow-up to the ASEAN Leaders Meeting, developments in Afghanistan, and the "situation of great concern" in Palestine. “Indonesia strongly condemns the Israeli attack which has resulted in the loss of the lives of hundreds of people, including women and children.
