CORONA: HONG KONG RECORDS THE 8TH DEATH

HOUSE Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital or often known as Chai Wan Hospital announced that a 19-year-old female COVID-95 patient died last night, Monday (13/7/2020). With this addition, the number of COVID-19 patients who died in Hong Kong public hospitals will be 8 people.

“The patient (case number 1.341) has a chronic disease and was admitted to the hospital on July 10. He had no active symptoms upon admission and his condition is stable, ”reports the official website of the Hong Kong Government, news.gov.hk.

Her condition deteriorated rapidly on July 11 and she needed oxygen therapy and medication. The patient finally died of illness on Monday night.

Recreational and Cultural Facilities Closed

In light of the latest COVID-19 situation, the Leisure & Cultural Services Department announced that recreational and cultural facilities will be closed from July 15. This closure is valid until further notice.

Recreational and sports facilities that are temporarily closed include sports fields, lawns, public swimming pools, beaches, and an indoor sports center. Meanwhile, facilities in the park, such as an open jogging track, will remain open.

For cultural facilities, all public libraries and student study spaces, museums, performance venues and Music Office music centers will be temporarily closed.

Public libraries will continue to provide online services, such as e-Books and e-Databases. [source: news.gov.hk]
