Nigeria Distributes Hajj Quotas to States

DDHK. ORG – Nigeria through the Nigerian National Hajj Commission (NAHCON), this year distributed cities to states. The country released quota allocations to its 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has decided to restore allocationsi pilgrimage quota pre-Covid-19 to participating countries. This year it is estimated that Saudi Arabia will serve two million pilgrims from around the world.

In the statement of the Assistant Director, Information and Publications of NAHCON Mousa Ubandawaki as reported Republika, Kaduna State received 5.982 quotas, Kano 5.902 people, Sokoto 5.504, and Niger with 5.165 slots.

Reported in the Guardian, Monday (6/2/2023), in the Southwest region NAHCON determined that Lagos was given 3.576 quotas, Oyo 1.441 seats, Ogun 1.139, Osun 1.054, Ondo 436 and Ekiti has a quota of at least 197 seats.

Likewise, the Edo region received 275 slots, Abi 53, Anambra 39, Bayelsa 35, Cross Rivers 66, Delta 74, Ebonyi 177, Imo 30, Rivers 50 and Enugu 40 seats.

The other states are Adamawa 2.669 seats, Bauchi 3.132, Benue 236, Borno 2.735, Nassarawa 1.567, Yobe 1.968, FCT 3.520, Gombe 2.301, Jigawa 1.525, Katsina 4.913, Kebi 4871, Kwara 3.219, Plateau 1.984 and Taraba 1.590 and Taraba XNUMX.

NAHCON said appropriations to Kogi State, private tour operators and the Armed Forces were still on hold. His party is waiting for the determination of other official protocols.

The Hajj Commission also said Akwa Ibom State was suspended from its allocation of the 2023 Hajj quota, for failing to renew its operating license.
