Aladin Mess, for those who like Indian and Halal tastes

HALAL FOOD

CAUSEWAY BAY | HONG KONG - Apart from Indonesia, there is a community of South Asian citizens with a large population in Hong Kong. Based on the 2016 census, the population of Hong Kong with ethnic Indian, Pakistani and Nepalese reached 80.028 people. Not to mention, the ethnic Bangladeshi, Sri Lanka, and other South Asian countries whose existence is quite familiar in the midst of the lives of some Indonesian communities in the Land of Beton.

Not surprisingly, in various corners of Hong Kong there are many Indian and Pakistani-style restaurants and restaurants. As for Pakistani restaurants, almost certainly all of them claim to be Halal, whether certified or not. And, some Indian restaurants, labeled Halal.

One of them, the Aladin Mess restaurant, which is located on the border of Causeway Bay and Wan Chai. Its position, at a corner near a crosswalk and tram stop, not far from Time Square.

If Sahabat Muslim is visiting Hong Kong, or is working in this country of Concrete, and happens to be a fan of Indian-style dishes, Aladin Mess can be the right choice to invite a special friend or tour group to this restaurant for lunch or dinner. The restaurant, which is located on the 2nd floor of Russell Street number 60, offers Indian specialties, but guaranteed to be Halal.

I often invite religious teachers from Indonesia who are preaching to Hong Kong and friends of religious organizations to eat at a restaurant that has been open since 2000. At Aladin Mess, there are bread menus, such as Garlic Nan or Cheese Nan. Also, Biryani rice, both chicken and goat. For side dishes, there are many choices. Starting from fish, seafood, chicken, to goat. There are Chicken Tikka, Fish Madras, Prawn Korma, Clams Masala, and Chicken or Lamb Curry.

It is not difficult to find Aladin Mess. From Exit F of Causeway Bay train station (MTR), just walk to Time Square, only about three minutes, past the front of Hysan Place Mall and Apple Store. Before crossing the road where there is a tram line, there is a last passageway on the right side. It is on the 2nd floor of the building that Aladin Mess is located.

At each end of the group of steps, the Muslim Friends will find directions to the Aladin Mess. So, when you get to the second floor, just turn left from the stairs, find the restaurant!

For the price, guaranteed to be relatively cheap. Because, a portion of food can be eaten for several people. For example, 2 servings of Garlic Nan for HK $ 36 plus a bowl of Lamb Curry for HK $ 78 can be enjoyed by three. Or, a plate of Chicken Biryani for HK $ 75, can be eaten together with friends.

While enjoying a meal, Sahabat Muslim can also see the crowd of people who are about to cross to Time Square. Or, while enjoying Indian-style menus, Sahabat Muslim can watch pamethematic run on the page of one of the largest mallssar in Hong Kong.

If the dining room the size of a Hong Kong flat family room to the left of the stairs is full, don't be discouraged immediately. Because, Aladin Mess has a spare room as big as the main room, which is to the right of the stairs.

Good luck! [DDHKNews]
