Dompet Dhuafa: Indonesian Movement Empowered with Alternative Solutions to Poverty

DDHK News, Indonesia - The Indonesia Empowered Movement (GIB) can be a solution to poverty that occurs in the country. This movement collects alms and donations to buy land that is not optimized.

The alms funds collected are managed by Dompet Dhuafa which has been operating for more than 20 years. The non-profit institution audited by Grant Thornton has received the Unqualified Status.

This was stated by the President Director Dompet Dhuafa (DD), Ahmad Juwaini, at the book launch Quick Wins - Accelerate Victory Steps at Smesco Building, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, Friday (28/2/2014).

"We use unproductive lands in Indonesia to be turned into agricultural land and livestock to help farmers, as well as use the results and social activities," said Ahmad as quoted. jpnn.com.
