This is the reward for those who fast

DDHK. ORG – The rewards of fasting in Ramadan are enormous, even many times over. This is what makes people Islam world happy to welcome Ramadan.

In a few days we will meet the holy month of Ramadan, and fast a full month in it. Ramadan fasting is part of the pillars of Islam.

For Muslims who fast will get some rewards. Reported Republika from the book Ramadan With Family by Muhammad Abduh Tuasikal, here are five rewards for people who fast:

First, the rewards of fasting are immeasurable, not just ten or seven hundred times.

From Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

God bless you

“Every good deed done by humans will be multiplied by ten similar good deeds up to seven hundred times. Allah Ta'ala says (which means), “Except the practice of fasting. The practice of fasting is for Me. I'll personally respond. Because he has left lust and food for My sake. For those who fast will get two happiness namely happiness when he breaks his fast and happiness when he meets his Lord. Indeed, the smell from the mouth of a fasting person is more pleasant in the sight of Allah than the smell of musk oil." (HR. Bukhari no. 1904, 5927 and Muslim no. 1151)

Ibn Rajab Al Hambali Rahimahullah said, “Just as the reward for fasting is multiplied compared to other practices, so fasting in Ramadan is more rewarding than fasting in other months. This can all happen because of the glorious month of Ramadan and the fasting that is done is the fasting that is obligatory by Allah on His servants. Allah also made fasting in the month of Ramadan as part of the pillars of Islam, the pillars of Islam." (Lathaif Al-Ma'arif, p. 271)

Second, the practice of fasting is for Allah, while the other practices are returned to the servant.

From Abu Hurairah RA., Rasulullah SAW., said: “Allah 'Azzawajalla said -in a hadith qudsi: "All the deeds of a child of Adam-namely a human-are for him, but fasting, because in fact fasting is for Me and I am the one who will reply with it. Fasting is a shield from disobedience and from hell. Therefore, if one of you fasts on that day, do not speak dirty words and do not fight. If he is cursed by someone or is opposed with hostility, then let him say: "Indeed I am - am - fasting."

In the hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari, it is stated: Allah says in a hadith qudsi: "The fasting person abandons eating, drinking and lust because he obeys Allah's commands. Fasting is for me (God) and I will reward it, while something good is rewarded tenfold."

Third, because of the reward of fasting, we can easily enter heaven.

From Sahl bin Sa'ad, from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said,

God bless you O Allah ، فَإِذَا دَخَلُوا أُغْلِقَ ، فَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ مِنْهُ أَحَدٌ

"Indeed in heaven there is a door called "ar rayyan". Those who fast will enter through the door on the Day of Judgment. Besides people who are fasting will not enter it. Later people who are fasting will be called, "Where are the people who are fasting." Then they stood up, except they would not enter it. If the person who is fasting has entered it, it will be closed and after that no one will enter it again” (HR. Bukhari no. 1896 and Muslim no. 1152).

Fourth, people who fast feel two happiness, namely when breaking their fast and when they meet Allah.

لِلصَّائِمِ فَرْحَتَانِ: فَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ فِطْرِهِ، وَفَرْحَةٌ عِنْدَ لِقَاءِ رَبِّهِ

This means, "People who fast will get two joys, joy when breaking their fast / Eid, and joy when meeting their Lord," (HR Muslim).

In Marqatul Mafatih explained, the two joys include in this world and in the hereafter. First, the joy of breaking the fast because you are free from the burden of Allah's commands or because you get help to complete your fast or because you can eat and drink after enduring hunger and thirst or because you have achieved the expected reward.

Second, the joy of meeting God because of getting a reward for fasting, getting praise, or the luck of meeting God.

Fifth, the smell of the mouth of a fasting person with Allah is more fragrant than the smell of musk (HR. Muslim)

Allah Ta'ala said,

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَ present

"O you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you so that you may be pious." (QS. Al-Baqarah verse 183). The word 'kutiba' in this verse means obligatory. [DDHK News]
