ANSWER:
Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
If the word talak comes out of the husband before the 'iddah period (3 months and 10 days) is allowed to reconcile without the need for a marriage contract. Some scholars argue, the iddah period is 90 days, or three holy times of menstruation.
