Tsuen Wan Market Reopens, Majelis Hidayatullah Hold Prayers Together

DDHK.ORG - The Hidayatullah Tsuen Wan Council held another gathering, recitation, and prayer activities on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. It was done, after Tsuen Wan Market or Tsuen Wan Market has reopened after being closed several months ago due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

As is known, Majelis Hidayatullah and two assembly others, namely Roudlotul Jannah (RJ) on Sunday and RJ Saturday, made the open space on the roof of the market a place for holding recitation events. This place is also one of the favorite locations for Indonesian migrant workers to spend time on their days off.

A total of 13 congregations attended the recitation and prayer together. They also greeted each other, exchanged stories, and let go of homesickness because since the tighter rules of social distancing that were previously implemented forced the assembly to temporarily close face-to-face recitation activities. Moreover, during that time, the congregation did not get the opportunity to vacation together to avoid the potential for Covid-19 transmission. In fact, some others are not allowed to leave the house by their employers.

"If you meet this kind of gathering, you can extend your life and increase your sustenance," said Bunda Wido, a migrant worker from East Java who became the supervisor of the Hidayatullah Tsuen Wan assembly.

The joint prayer itself was carried out with the aim that the Corona virus would soon disappear and the recitation activities could be carried out as usual. Prayers also to pray for the congregation who is looking for a new employer to find a good boss, who allows wearing the veil and praying.

"Hopefully all of our wishes will be granted. We all get good employers, good fortune, "said Rima, a congregation from Malang, East Java. [Nurhalimah / DDHK News]
