Police abduct blackmailers with the mode of spreading nude photos of victims

DDHK.ORG - Extortion by threatening to distribute nude photos of victims often occurs among Indonesian migrant workers in Hong Kong. Instead of obeying the wishes of the perpetrators who are generally known from social media, the victims should report it to the police.

Related to this, the police arrested a man who claimed to be a member of the TNI in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi. Jamaluddin (34), the man, was arrested after reportedly extorting the victim RO (39), the widow he had slept with. This fake TNI member threatened to spread a naked photo of the victim to social media if his wishes were not obeyed.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Jeneponto Police, Iptu Nasaruddin, said the victim met the perpetrator from social media. "The perpetrator claimed to be a member of the Indonesian Army. They met through Facebook. But we have arrested the perpetrators," said Iptu Nasaruddin, Saturday (25/6/2022).

After being acquainted for more than a month, said Nasruddin, the perpetrator started asking for photos of the victim naked. After that, he invited the victim to meet at one of the inns.

“The victim sent her naked photo at the request of the perpetrator. Then on June 10, the two met at an inn," said Iptu Nasruddin.

At that meeting, the two had a relationship like husband and wife. But after that, said Nasruddin, the perpetrators took the cash that was owned by the victim.

“The victim was threatened with sharing her half-nude photos if she did not serve and give money to the perpetrator. So the victim complied with the perpetrator's wishes," he said.

After the meeting, said Nasaruddin, 3 days later, the perpetrator again invited the victim to meet at the same location. The two of them had sex again.

"They had sex again, then the perpetrator took the victim's money as much as Rp. 3 million and a gold ring of 1 gram," he said. [Source: CNN Indonesia] [DDHKNews]
