Is it okay to pray five times at night at once?

Is it okay to pray five times at night at once?

ASKING:

Assalamu'alaikum, Ustadz.

I want to ask. I'm here (at the employer's house) not allowed to pray during the day. Is it permissible for me to do the Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha prayers by doing it at night?

Salam,

Fulanah

ANSWER:

Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

My sister who is blessed by Allah. May we all become Muslims and Muslimah who are always given the blessing of taufiq so that it is easy for us to perform sholih deeds, anytime and anywhere, including establishing prayers.

Prayer is the second pillar of religion and pillar of Islam. Prayer is the most important bodily practice whose time has been determined by Allah SWT.

الصَّلَاةَ انَتْ لَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ابًا ا

"In fact, prayer is an obligation for a believer whose time has been determined." (Surah An-Nisa: 103)

Then, what if someone is too busy or has difficulty getting permission, and or has free time to pray in the middle of their work?

Is it permissible for him to plagiarize, mengqashar, or mengqadha 'prayer?

Imam Nawawi rahimahullah said, "Some imams (ulama) are of the opinion that a person who is muqim (not traveling) may recite his prayer if necessary, as long as it is not used as a habit." This is based on the words of Ibn Abbas Radhiyallahu 'anhu which reads:

جمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بين الظهر والعصر والمغرب والعشاء بالمدينة في غير خوف ولا مطرقيل لابن عباس لم فعل ذلك قال كي لا يحرج أمته

"Rasûlullâh Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam spread between Zhuhur and Asr and between Maghrib and Isha' in Medina without fear and rain." When asked about this to Ibn Abbas Radhiyallahu anhu, he replied, "In order not to burden his ummah."

Shaykhul Islâm Ibn Taymiyyah rahimahullah explained that industrial workers and farmers if at a certain time experience difficulties (masyaqqah), such as the location of the water which is far from the place of prayer, so that if they go to a location of water and purify it can result in the loss of the work needed, if so In their condition, they may pray during musytarak (one of the times that is plural), then plural (combine) the two prayers.

The rules of plural prayer

The rule for plagiarizing prayers is due to desire or certain circumstances, such as safar which has reached 16 farsakhs (+88 kilometers), due to heavy rain, or illness (according to the Malikiyah ulama). Or also, because certain jobs with conditions are not always (sometimes only).

Meanwhile, if the rules of making up 'prayer only apply to people who fall asleep or forget.

Whereas qashar prayer, the rule is if a person goes on a safar or travels a distance like the plural rule, and that person has left his village, in the middle of his journey, or when he is at his destination for only 3 days (according to Malikiyah and Syafi'iyah scholars). The rest, they pray itmam (perfect according to the number of rokaat and not qashar or plural).

From Anas bin Malik, that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said,

مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً ، أَوْ نَامَ عَنْهَا ، فَكَفَّارَتُهَا أَنْ يُصَلِّيَهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا

"Whoever forgets prayer or falls asleep so that the prayer time is missed, the redeemer is that he immediately prays when he remembers." (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim).

In conclusion, what is permissible is plural prayer because of a certain emergency job that cannot be abandoned. Even then, shouldn't be made a habit. If there is a problem with your employer, try to lobby properly. If it is still not possible, then keep doing plural prayers by making efforts to find other jobs that are safer from slander.

So the point is, my advice is that you are only allowed to recite prayers. Zuhur and Asr can be done at one time, or Maghrib and Isha can be done at one of the times, both plural taqdim and plural takhir.

Should not be diqadla

As for diqadla, that is not allowed. Because this qadla is only allowed for people who forget or overslept.

Then, when you are faced with a situation like that: it is difficult to get permission from your employer, or because your job is difficult to leave, then my advice is, if you still can, do your prayers in a plural fashion, while you look for another job that, God willing, is safer from slander.

So, as a rule, you can only play plagiarism at certain times. That too shouldn't become a habit. Rukhsohnya for Mother, only plural. Even then, there must be an effort (effort) to find another job. And, should not be made a habit every day. Moreover, doing prayer. In Mother's case, there is no rule.

Hopefully useful.

God knows best, bish-shawab.

Regards!
