Hong Kong Tightens Social Distancing Rules

DDHK.ORG - Pemerintah Hong Kong, on January 5, 2022, announced the tightening of rules and social distancing measures (social distancing). The new rules take effect from January 7th for the next 14 days.

"Among these regulations, the cessation of mass events and dining services in restaurants from 6 pm to 4.59:XNUMX am," the government announced on its official website.

The day before, the Government explained that the COVID-19 epidemic situation in Hong Kong had developed drastically. The virus has spread to the public due to several imported cases of excluded flight crew members. Allegedly, a hidden transmission chain already exists in the community.

Given that the Concrete Country has the potential to face a fairly large risk of an outbreak, the Government must take strict measures in the next 2 weeks, with the aim of containing the epidemic as early as possible. "Social distancing measures will be tightened to the strictest level as seen during the third and fourth waves of the epidemic, with the aim of reducing public traffic, social functions and crowds of people as much as possible," the Government wrote.

"The ban on gathering more than 4 people in public places will remain in effect during this period," the government said.

Most recreational and cultural venues or facilities under the Department of Leisure & Cultural Services will also be temporarily closed. "All local tours will be suspended."

Social distancing measures will take effect from January 7 to 20. The government said it will review the measures after about 7 days, whether these tightening measures are effective in reducing the gathering activities of the general public and thereby containing the epidemic.
