Having been closed for 3 months, Al-Hidayah Council held another recitation

DDHK.ORG - Al-Hidayah Council, last Sunday (25/10/2020), again held recitation at the Kwai Fong market. It appears that around 20 congregations were present to read the prayer together, the Al-qur'an, the Yasin letter, tahlil, istighotsah, and perform congregational prayers.

Al-Hidayah's routine recitation activities above this market had been temporarily closed for more than three months, due to a ban on gathering related to the Covid-19 outbreak. "Since it was founded 8 years ago, our assembly routine recitation is always attended by at least 30 congregations. But since the Corona outbreak, we have been giving the recitation activities on this market a holiday. Our last recitation was filled by Ustadz Imam Baihaqi (General Manager Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong), on July 5, during the quarterly recitation program with the Al-Fadhilah TST Council, M3 Mei Foo, and Al-Karimah Tai Wo Hau, ”said Siti, Chairman of the Al-Hidayah Council.

With capital of IDR 15 million

Siti explained, the establishment of the assembly he led started from his strong desire eight years ago to have a mushalla in Kwai Fong. Finally, this Indonesian migrant worker from Madiun, East Java, ventured to express this to Ustadz Abdul Syukur, a student of the late Ustadz Atifin Ilham from the Adz-Dzikra Dhikr Council.

"Then he held a recitation and distributed a turban to accommodate donations and alms to the congregation. The money collected was IDR 15 million. Alhamdulillah, everything is allocated for the procurement of the Mushalla Al-Hidayah, ”said the woman who has worked for 20 years in Hong Kong.

Main program: congregational prayer

The Al-Hidayah Council made congregational prayer its main program. Therefore, the compulsory program of this assembly is the Dhuha prayer in the morning as well as the Zhuhur, Asr and Maghrib prayers together with Indonesian migrant workers who are also on vacation in the area above the Kwai Fong market.

"Whatever the reason, prayer should not be abandoned and we need to get closer to Allah Ta'ala and gain His blessing," said Siti.

In addition, at the Al-Hidayah Mushalla, various routine activities are held every week. Namely, treatment using acupuncture and cupping therapy techniques.

Al-Hidayah Council is also in the business of selling gamis shirts, turban, scarves, as well as herbal medicines, honey and dates products of Majelis Adz-Dzikra. Majelis Al-Hidayah also accept orders for food production, from fried foods, sponge cakes, to tumpeng rice.

"For treatment, we never set a tariff. We use the results of these various efforts to support the continuity of our da'wah activities in Hong Kong and pay monthly mushalla rental fees, "said Siti.

Asih, an Indonesian migrant worker from Sragen, admits that she has always been active in the Al-Hidayah council since it was founded eight years ago. "Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful to be able to join the Al-Hidayah Council. That way, we can fill our holiday time with useful activities, ”he said. [Nurhalimah / DDHK News]
